I dropped off the pieces with Ray, who let me pick from the remaining spaces for where I wanted my work. It was between areas up the very far end or the space directly infront of the doorway. I opted for the latter as I thought the muralism influences and bold colours of my work could make it stand out from a distance and be a good piece to greet spectators on entering the door. I was immediately glad I had created a large piece, as even this seemed instantly smaller when hung against the expansive Undercroft walls.

3/11/2917 - BALANCE EXHIBITION LAUNCH
The day after my birthday was the launch of the exhibition I had spent many months working towards with my most detailed large painting yet. I also chose to exhibit my 'Calcify' painting from last year with the prints I had made in my workshop, as I felt this piece also responded in it's way to Balance, or inbalance in this case with coral bleaching. I made two trips to the Undercroft and back with each canvas to ensure I wouldn't damage either by transporting them improperly via my only option of public transport, and got there without issue.

Upon returning later that night for the launch Norwich was absolutely packed with people turning out in their hundreds for the Big Boom fireworks in the city. Ray had certainly picked an effective night for the launch party as within 30 minutes of open doors people were beginning to pour in. The Undercroft really came into it's own that night, allowing large numbers of people to both drift and meander around the exhibitons columned edges, and also bunch into groups in the centre in conversational circles.
I was called over several times by the invigilating team to comment on my work, and also had people specifically mention having seen the 'Save Our Seas' posters up in the city. Some friends and family also came along, some of whom were already in the city watching fireworks, and all around the night was very successful.
